NHS Portraits The NHS portraits were several different portraits painted/created by numerous artists of the NHS to raise awareness for the struggles and how much work NHS workers had to put in. The ‘Thank you NHS’ movement was also a moment in which portraits were created. A man named Tom Croft from oxford is an artist who first created the ‘Portrait for NHS Heroes’ project, over 1000 artists and NHS staff. It began during the first lockdown to raise awareness of the NHS staff and the hard work they had been doing. Tom Croft is an Oxford artist who created the ‘Portraits for NHS heroes’ connecting NHS staff with 1,000 artists across the country.
