Introduction to the News

Part1

BBC- Evening news 6/3/2021

Stories that were covered:

·         Covid 19

·         Some problems people have been doing

·         And a good thing out

In the starting sequence it showed the building that they are filming in, there is a timer of the time that they are presenting the news.

Part2

In the news report they were talking about different things that have been have with the covid vaccine, the report was talking about how one town have been getting less people coming into the doctors and hospitals. They were also talking about the different percentages of people that have taken the vaccine.

The report interviewed different people such as workers and members of the public, asking questions about how they feel about other people have the covid vaccine and how it has affected the whole town, and they asked them how they think this will help others.

The people in the story have been represented as

I didn’t agree with all the people in the news story as I have different points of view but there was some points that I can agree with, I think that the people in the news show there point of views clearly, they also gave some facts about what the subject they were talking about.

The new story was narrativized because there was help. I think that they have done this because it helps the audience follow the news events.

Part3

The newsreader is Louise Minchin with other newsreaders, Louise Minchin is a woman who is 52 years old. She works on the BBC news as a news reader.

The newsreaders address the audience in a carm way, they are going through all the things that they will be talking about on the news.

 Louise Minchin role in the news is to tell the story’s and question others about how they feel about it.

There are many other news reports like:

·        Personal Account. Of an event you attended or participated in, such as a training seminar or presentation. …

·         Routine Report. It is often presenting factual or statistical information, such as progress in specific areas or information regarding accidents or equipment failure.

·       Special report.

Part4

What is meant by the term news ordering, that means they order the story’s in a way that they end up with a positive story in the end of the news.

The most likely stories to be listed on the broadcast is a very important story, and there is the local important story’s and a positive story for the ended.

They would usually start the board cast with the most important story for example. “covid 19” they do this because they don’t want everyone to wait around for a story that is needed to be heard worldwide. Also, they like to end it on a happy note so that people don’t get down about what they have heard on the first stories.

when they make the board cast they like to go though what they will be talking about at the being of the news so that all the views know what is going on through out the news board cast, I think that it is a good idea that they do this because it helps to find out what they what to watch with the important bits of news.
